3 rounds for me: Round 1-aptitude test consisting of 40 questions to be solved in a duration of 60mins. First 20 questions were general aptitude and second 20 questions were from basics of control systems.
Round 2- Technical interview. Interviewer first explained about the role they are hiring for and then started with some very basic questions on vectors and he asked all possible questions on basics of vectors in around 12 minutes. Next, coding questions were asked where I am supposed to write the code & explain how the code works (I preferred MATLAB because I am most comfortable at it). A total of 4 questions and all are easy questions and without knowing, the interview lasted more than 30 minutes.
Round 3: HR interview – While others are giving managerial interview, I got invite for HR. Started with introduction and continued from there with basic questions. At the end, HR discussed everything about how the day goes at office.

I explained my final year project. Then he asked about some oops concepts.(its better to know them cause one of my friends went till 3rd round of Orcale, but failed as he didn’t know them). Then he asked me some programming questions, relatively easy if we compare to pure CS profile companies. One puzzle: temple and flowers(didn’t answer). Remember we can choose the subjects of our interest. Initially he asked me DBMS questions. I told him that I was doing coding, then he started asking coding questions. 2nd round(Managerial round 30-min):: I was asked to explain my projects and I explained one of my projects for 20min. Then I understood the importance of projects. Then she asked about strengths and weaknesses, hobbies, why MBRDI and some other managerial questions. 3rd round:: Formal hr questions for 10 minutes

Mercedes-Benz coding questions and solutions
- Count all pallindromic substring
class Solution {
public :
int expand (string s, int low, int high)
{
int count= 0 ;
while (low>= 0 && high<s.length() && s[low]==s[high])
{
count++;
low–;
high++;
}
return count;
}
int countSubstrings (string s) {
int count= 0 ;
for ( int i= 0 ;i<s.length();i++)
{
count+=expand(s,i,i)+expand(s,i,i+ 1 );
}
return count;
}
};
2.Given a string and an integer k, if occurrences of any character gets equal to k, remove all of the occurrences of that character and return string. eg “abbcccb” and k = 3 return a.
string removeDuplicates (string s, int k) {
stack <pair< int , char >> st;
string ans= “” ;
for ( auto c:s){
if (st.empty() || st.top().second!=c){
st.push({ 0 ,c});
}
if (++st.top().first==k){
st.pop();
}
}
while (!st.empty()){
ans+= string (st.top().first,st.top().second);
st.pop();
}
reverse(ans.begin(),ans.end());
return ans;
}
};
3.Minimum Divisor: Given an array of integers, each element is to be divided by an integer so that the sum of results is less than or equal to a threshold integer. Each one-integer result of the division is rounded up before it is added to the sum. Determine the minimum divisor to make the sum less than or equal to the threshold.
int getsum(vector<int>&nums,int &mid) { int sum=0; for(int i=0;i<nums.size();i++) { double ans=(double)nums[i]/(double)mid; ans=ceil(ans); sum+=ans; } return sum; } class Solution { public: int smallestDivisor(vector<int>& nums, int threshold) { int mindiv=1; int start=1; int end=*max_element(nums.begin(),nums.end()); while(start<=end){ int mid=end-(end-start)/2; int sum=getsum(nums,mid); if(sum<=threshold){ mindiv=mid; } if(sum<=threshold) end=mid-1; else start=mid+1; } return mindiv; } };
